iVardenspehere, the tribal trance electro outfit headed by Scott Fox, presents its new album, The Methuselah Tree. Crushing beats and trance elements blend with traditional drums to create a cinematic work of art. The album opener, the dramatic “Mother of Crows”, sets the tone, as world music elements build over medieval tones and operatic vocals. Throughout the song, the ominous, ever-present percussion builds, as does the tension. Segueing into the atmospheric glitches and pulsing electronics of “Bloodline”, the versatility of iVardensphere becomes readily apparent. The hand drums and traditional tribal elements are still ever present, as is signature with iVardensphere. Featuring contributions from Twilla of Booming Tree Taiko, Assemblage 23, Aesthetic Perfection, and iVardensphere's own Jamie Blacker, The Methuselah Tree shows the growth of one of the most exciting acts in the genre.

Everything 3TEETH touches turns into swiss franks, it's especially evident for me since their debut can seem like a drafty dichotamy of minimalistic lyrics & repetative choruses. Most bands couldn't get away with this trick, but here it's really pays off. From the 1st note you will be hooked by totalitarian-like vocals of Alexis Mincolla & his uncompromising counterculture messages in tandem with painstakingly crafted sound of 90's industrial rock reinforced by an evergroovy rhythm-sections. This album should be ranked very high in ranks of latest industrial albums, because it just crushes the competition. THIS is how it's done people. Menacing vocals, pounding drums and haunting electronics have no mercy on your ears and leave you with not one second of peace. Play this loud and do people around you a service.

That devastating and frightening atmosphere is mesmerizing. Probably the only DWIFH album I fell in love with. Expiring Time, The Unclean, Threadbare, Downpour, At Rest - these all are my favorites. Val Levitsky
