After releasing “Hex Angel (Utopia/Dystopia)” and the “Pretty Toy” single last year, Velvet Acid Christ released parts one through three of the “Between the Eyes” series in 2004. Now as a fitting end to the year and the series, “Between the Eyes Volume 4” has arrived. This release completes the early retrospective of Velvet Acid Christ, and makes the final set of “lost tracks” available for fans everywhere. Velvet Acid Christ's first two releases “Church of Acid” and “Calling Ov the Dead” will soon go out of print and become collector's items now that they are replaced with the full “Between the Eyes” series.

I was pleasantly-surprised by this album. I was expecting something colder, slower, and ambient from what little I first heard before I bought it. Instead, it's not too unlike the later Mechanical Soul. There's elements of old and new FLA here, and there's parts of this that I rather like. I wouldn't mind more collab songs, for one, or for more flirting with other genres. Give me both vaporwave-y songs AND hardcore industrial dance. Rocket Verliden

Driving beats with intermittent sonic spikes that makes my brain pulsate and the body move. Numb is a must in any respectable industrial library. Headspike
Irresistibly dark EBM tailor-made for the Halloween season, this is all driving rhythms, midnight synths and ominous vocals. Bandcamp New & Notable Oct 21, 2023

Hard hitting. Hard rhythms. Yet sweet and sexy. Reminds me at times of Caustic Grip, at times of Tactical N. I. - but it goes into its own territories: pop, bouncy, yet still HARD. felipe_serra
